Re: Historical Figures Lesson Activity Contest

    Hello,

I am actually inquiring about the "Back to School Contest".  I was so excited to see that my lesson is a finalist and I wondered what that actually means?  Could there be many winners?

Last year, one of my students won a writing contest and won $500 for herself and $2500 for the school!!  With the money, I suggested we purchase a smart board and the staff was agreeable to that.  Unfortunately, the smart board is on wheels and in order to use it, the teacher must roll it into her room and get it all hooked up every time she/he wishes to use it.  Since, I am in a portable, it also meant I had to try to book out the library which is very difficult since the library gets lots of use.  Needless to say, the smart board wasn't used very much at all.  I would die with excitement if I actually had won a smart board that I could mount in my portable.  Christmas would have arrived!

Thanks for the opportunity to learn so much in developing my lesson on "Generating Ideas" for the contest.
